Gun Series – 2005-2011

……The Gun series stems from my fascination with the power of gesture and the pervasive use of the pointing index finger to universally symbolize ‘gun’. Each piece in this series has been inspired by a different well-known image and played out by my male and female characters. I’ve layered representation over representation to transform the original sentiment into a dialogue about power and domestication, among other opposing dynamics.
